Frequently asked questions

  • What is your COVID cancellation policy? If you are unable to come to your stay due to a government travel ban, local lockdown or prescribed isolation order we can move your dates to any time within a year from your date of stay. If the dates you move to are cheaper we'll refund the difference or if they're more expensive we'll send you a payment link for the remaining amount.
  • What precautions are you taking for coronavirus? We are following the UK hospitality guidelines on all matters cleaning, this includes
    • removing all crockery, cutlery and glasswear at the end of each stay, whilst a separate set is rotated into each cabin
    • Washing the sheets, towels and waterproof pillow liners every time at a 60* or hotter wash
    • Providing our cleaning staff with protective PPE, extra cleaning supplies to prevent cross contamination
    • Thoroughly cleaning high touch areas, including handles, switches, doors etc
    • Removing high touch items such as books and board games
    • Checking guests in over the phone avoiding all physical contact
  • Will the virus measures effect what's on offer during my stay? We are allowing the individual teachers to make a judgement themselves on all personal contact options available such as yoga, reiki, along with food based options such as gin foraging and the raw chocolate workshop. The massage and beauty treatments are not available at the moment. We are continuing to offer the woodwork courses to folks and will allocate a clean set of tools to each participant for the duration of their session.
  • What measures effect the food options? We will be offering a menu of things that can be pre set in the cabin ready for your arrival, this excludes the pizza package as this is delivered fresh. Please get in touch to ask about specifics.
  • Is the hot tub still available? The hot tub is unfortunately not in use at the moment, we've been looking into it and can't in good conscience open it back up under the Covid guidelines. We are unable to rota people in as it would be impossible to clean in between uses (its natural larch and fresh water which drains directly on to the woodland meadow) and if done daily it would only allow 2 sets of guests per stay to use it, in the interests of safety and fairness we'll keep it closed, even though commercial swimming pools are allowed to open. Thank you for your guys patience and understanding during these strange times.

  • What linen is provided?  All the spaces come with feather duvets and pillows, please let us know if you'd like hypoallergenic bedding instead.
    • Goji has two large single duvets, slate grey linen duvet and pillow covers, two bath towels with hand towels by the sinks, a bath mat in the shower and tea towels.

We stock you up with coffee for the cafetiere, tea, sugar, milk and oil.
  • What are the cooking facilities? Every space has a double gas hob for cooking on, as well as access to a large BBQ. The tree cabins the hobs are in the inside kitchen and the BBQ on the deck, for Hobbit, Goji and the Yurt they are in the outdoor kitchen area, please bring your own charcoal for the BBQ.  Every space has a wood fired Ooni pizza oven for private use, we supply the wood pellets for burning in the oven. If it's 6 weeks or sooner to the booking please let us know and we can re-release the dates, when these dates re-sell we will refund you or move the dates.

  • Is there disabled access to the spaces? We can accomodate disabled people in some of our spaces, get in contact to see which are most suitable on brookhousewoods@gmail.com
  • Do you offer stays of different length or check in not on a Monday, Wednesday or Friday? During high season in the treecabins we don't offer stays of different lengths or on odd check in days, we do have flexibility during high season for Goji, Hobbit and the Yurt, get in contact with your proposed dates on brookhousewoods@gmail.com
  • Can I bring my pet? As a general rule yes! We've had visitors in all shapes and sizes, cats, parakeets, horses and even a golden buzzard! Drop us an email to check that your furry friend is OK but in general we welcome all.
  • Are the pubs mentioned on the website dog friendly? Yes! Herefordshire loves dogs! We also have the number of a dog friendly taxi service in case you don't fancy the walk back.
  • Which is the best treehouse?! Such a hard question as its such personal preference! In general Walden is higher up in the canopy line so feels more tree tops and has a slightly Scandi feel to it, Humboldt is tucked in the trees a little with a twisted Oak right on the deck along with a hammock and has a slightly more bohemian feel, whilst Venn has a double aspect view looking down the Frome Valley and its rolling hills with a fine Oak coming through the deck. Best thing is to have a look at the gallery on each page and see which one speaks to you the most.
