Humboldt

Humboldt the tree cabin

"Some things can only be understood when you're in a tree house with a plate of biscuits and a book" // Unknown //

This round wood tree cabin is an exercise in luxury with its roll top veranda bath, indoor bathroom, kitchen, fridge and fluffy feather bed with egyptian cotton linens. Nestled amongst the trees in an old woodland overlooking the Frome valley and on to the Malverns, Humboldt gives you a totally secluded private escape amongst the Oaks and Ash. Heated by a log burning stove and complete with a bbq and smoker out on the veranda its the perfect place to feed your body and soul. Humboldt has a hand made king size bed with a dreamy sprung mattress, a sofa, two hand made chairs round the vintage cotton reel used as the coffee table, out on the deck you have a double hammock, two deck chairs and a vintage cotton reel as an outside table. Cooking is on a double gas hob and Humboldt comes stocked with all the crockery, pots, pans, tea, coffee, sugar, oil, organic washing products and shower products, complete with fluffy towels and dressing gowns Humboldt is the year round wild break. We offer room service, Massage, yoga classes, sound baths and woodworking courses, on site we have a wood fired hot tub overlooking the Malverns. Built by the legend Rudi Meseg, a roundwood timber framer who learnt his trade with Ben Law, builder of the nation's favourite Grand Designs house, 'Prickly Nut Cottage', all the wood was locally grown and sourced, the cabin is insulated with sheepswool and powered by solar. Not only is Humboldt carbon positive but its the most peaceful spot to relax with a book, enjoy hot delivered meals or take a short walk to the workshop to learn to carve a spoon, make a stool or wander the footpaths branching out from the farm.
