Family & group stays, quick facts
At a glance
Herefordshire is quietly becoming the county families come back to.
"We enjoyed every minute of it. Beautiful location, cosy and joyful. The indoor swing is just brilliant." — Nirit, family stay
Not for a single day out, but for the kind of weekend where everyone properly gathers — long breakfasts, a fire nobody wants to leave, and enough space that the grown-ups get a proper conversation in too.
At Brook House Woods, that weekend happens at Journeyman, our largest treehouse, or across the whole 300-acre farm with Exclusive Hire. Every stay sits in its own private corner of ancient woodland and working farmland, off-grid and unhurried, with room for the whole group to gather and room for anyone who wants to slip away for an hour.
The indoor swing guests mention most
Journeyman: our family & friends favourite
Four bedrooms. Sleeps eight. Built for the evenings that run long.
A pool table, a movie projector, and an indoor swing that guests mention more than almost anything else. Two outdoor baths under the stars, a pizza oven, BBQ and a fire pit for whenever the evening decides to slow down.
Guests keep telling us the same thing — it's not what they expected from a treehouse, and exactly what they needed from a holiday:
"The communal space is amazing for a mixed group of 8. Loads of space, but very open, so you're never isolated." — Dan, friends' group
"It's easy enough to get to, but when they say off-grid, they really mean it… Everything we needed — a pool table, a huge dining table, big sofas, and a projector that became the centre of our karaoke and film nights." — Shelly, 30th birthday stay
- 3 king bedrooms + 1 twin
- 2 shower rooms + downstairs WC
- Pool table & projector
- 2 private outdoor baths
Every stay, its own private corner of the woods
Bigger group? Take the whole farm.
Exclusive Hire brings every treehouse and cabin together.
For reunions, milestone birthdays or family gatherings too big for one house, Exclusive Hire brings Journeyman, Primrose, Cowslip, Bluebell and Foxglove together — 5 properties, 8 bedrooms, sleeping up to 16 guests across the farm. Everyone's close by, but each group still keeps its own private corner of the woods.
Wi-Fi is available in Journeyman; the four smaller cabins have no Wi-Fi or TV by design — made for slowing down and disconnecting from the rush of modern life.
